Who are the people that are taking the lead in disrupting the future of work?
They’re the official Disruptors (Organizers) of DisruptHR events held in cities around the world. Each week, we’ll introduce you to one of these intelligent, inspiring, and beautiful people (okay, pick two) who have stepped up, and volunteered to organize a Disrupt HR event in their city.

Who are you, and what do you do in your “day job”?
I’m Molly Helm and I change the world word by word, promoting great companies and worthwhile ideas. I write, facilitate, coach and help people organize and launch their ideas.
For the last five years, I have been the chief thinker at Purple Ink, working primarily with charitable organizations, philanthropy, and associations.
How did you first hear about DisruptHR?
Why did you decide to raise your hand and become an organizer for DisruptHR events in Oklahoma City?
Linda always knows the best stuff and if she says it’s worthwhile, fun and important–I’m in. How could I say anything but “hell, yes!”?
How many events have you organized?
We have held two successful events in OKC, selling out our venue with nearly 200 attendees. We are working on #3.
What types of people/industries have attended your events?
Our attendees come from so many backgrounds: oil and gas, associations, philanthropy, small and large businesses of all types and education. We have students from local universities and CEOs sitting together and learning from the speakers and each other!
What are you most proud of that has come out of being involved with/organizing DisruptHR events?
I love that connections made on the evening of our event grow into so much more. Students get job interviews, HR professionals share their wisdom, speakers get invitations to speak again, CEOs learn tactics to help them with management challenges and people make new friends.
What kind of feedback have you received from those who attended prior DisruptHR Oklahoma City events?
My co-disruptor, Linda Clark, spoke last year (three cheers for her!) and the exposure skyrocketed her speaking and consulting business. Her wisdom and expertise have helped me with my clients and I am delighted others are benefitting from her HR, talent and people skills.
What is your favorite DisruptHR Talk, and why?
Can’t choose just one–too many lessons, laughs, and bits of goodness. Really loved Linda’s talk though!

Based off of the Talks and conversations at your events, what do you feel are the areas with the biggest opportunity for disruption?
Getting the conversation started and inviting all levels of management to the discussion. HR involves all of us!
What excites you or frustrates you about the future of work, your career and/or DisruptHR?
We are better together and I love to learn from the lessons and success of others–this event packs a mighty triple punch of lively presentations, interesting people, and useful tactics (oh–and the tasty food and cocktails are a plus, too).
