Culture is the way an organization behaves – its response, its beliefs, its values. Culture is what we people do without thinking, and that’s what creates a unique personality within organizations.
What is strategy? The plan. The essence of the plan involves activities, but activities are performed by people. Culture helps people to choose what not to do. Without the right culture, strategy will fail.
Culture comes from the top down. Success and business results come from the bottom up.
To be a good leader, have a vision, clearly communicate it and be a good example.
Aligning the team with the values of the organization is key. This is the secret to success with a company’s culture. Good leaders give their teams freedom to execute within the culture.
The chemistry of the team is what wins world championships. Culture is what lets your execute strategy.
